Case Study Brubaker Store
This is another project that is very personal to me as I have a direct connection with the owner. His store has been a staple in the community for over 20 years. They carry well-known designer labels that draw in a very discerning clientele. It is very important that he is continuously aware of their needs and to keep his store in the most positive light imaginable. His competition is department stores, fashion forward boutiques and on-line retailers.
What we have done is created an annual campaign whereby I have the freedom to create artistic and visually alluring displays that not only capture the eye, but also spark the interest and tap into the emotion of the client to make them want to see more. As was mentioned earlier, the shopping experience should be ethereal. Something that evokes emotion and brings happiness to ones soul. This sensation cannot be felt by clicking “buy now”. It has to be a complete embodiment of the senses. Walk, look, touch, feel, smell. All these sensory elements create the environment which make the experience so joyful.
My work at his store also include his interior design. The store has ebb and flow that gives his clients a sense of belonging in a casual and fun atmosphere. His store has been featured in many local publications and I continue this day to provide him and his clientele fresh, artistic and innovative displays that help make his business successful.
